Tolwynsays...Folks, the west side of WA State is not WA State. Just a little part of it. Just sayin.
bareboards2says...There was one Eastern Washington county that decided to go with the right side of history. Southeast corner of the state. I forget the name of the county.
And the election results wouldn't have been so favorable if a good portion of Republicans hadn't decided to side with their small government values and stay the heck out of people's personal bidness and to side with their stated respect for "family values". I have loved Republicans a little bit more after learning that mathematical analysis of the election results that proved it wouldn't have passed without their support.
As for "little" part -- the east may have acreage, but they don't gots the bodies. And our government is for the people, by the people. Not by the hectare, for the hectare.
Thanks for all the produce, though. I have eaten many a Washington grown apple and am grateful for the hard work and commitment of those farm families. Burgess Orchards ROCKS. Their white nectarines? My GOD are they good!
Just saying.

Tolwynsays...We enjoy supporting you liberals, too. And the taxes we pay for your public transportation, welfare, corrupt police, abysmal education system, etc. King and Snohomish counties, the most liberal, lazy people in WA.

What county do you live in? Because King County gets back 62 cents from the state on every dollar it sends to Olympia. While EVERY SINGLE "red" county gets back more than they pay, sometimes three times as much.
Sooo.... Republicans have a reputation for not accepting "the math." Do you accept this as fact? Cold, hard, pure and simple math.
bareboards2says...Whitman! Lovely Whitman! And home to WSU. No wonder it passed in that county. University educated folks tend to be more liberal in their thinking. Comes from all that book learning, and being exposed to different points of view. Tends to expand the mind.
Not that all are liberal, of course. I do have empathy for the conservative person in a university setting. I can't imagine how unpleasant that must be -- well, yes, I can. I go to Oklahoma a lot. I have to hold my tongue all the time. Hence my empathy for anyone who feels out-numbered. It isn't at all comfortable.
