We always hear that chimps are 98% or whatever genetically identical to humans. I guess unless horses and donkeys are less than 2% different, perhaps Louis CK could repopulate his hypothetical empty world with humanzees.

I remember reading about some tests that Russians did - trying to create a Humanzee - I think they determined that the genetics are still different enough that a standard human chimp mating would not work.

Nah. Wikipedia is my extended brain, always a Google search away. Off on a different tangent, but Google and Wikipedia are the perfect match made in heaven. Wikipedia always has the great in-depth information- and Google always understands me, even when I completely mangle the spelling.
