The song he's humming in the intro sounds like "The Pines" - I recognize it from the Nirvana unplugged album - though I think I remember Cobain saying on the album that it was an old Leadbelly song.

Yeah, I was just listening to the Nirvana disc yesterday. It's the same song. Doesn't he talk about he tried to buy a Leadbelly guitar but it was really expensive?
