Mine only beef: I just don't really believe that the cops are 'one bounced paycheck' from joining themselves. I think cops hate people and would do this for free. Not all, but most. Dealing with the dregs of society on a daily basis makes you develop an us and them mentality and there's no way that the cops would ever consider becoming one of 'them'.

This rant rubs me the wrong way for some reason.

I think it's really the final sentiment that really clarifies why. The whole thing essentially boils down to a form of asking "why can't things just be simple, easy, and fair?"

Well, because simple and easy doesn't mean fair, and fairness isn't simple or easy.

Part of the reason why we're in this mess is that people just refuse to face up to the fact nothing about what's wrong with the world has some quick, easy fix.

I thought this was incredibly well cut together, and did a very nice job of presenting both sides multiple times. Big +1 from me.
