The founder of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) believes research on MDMA, known commonly as the club drug ecstasy, could lead other hallucinogenic drugs to gain medical acceptance.

“I think MDMA is going to be the psychedelic that leads the way towards opening the door to other psychedelics, because they’re more challenging,” Rick Doblin said in an interview. “And so just the way that MDMA can help the individual deal with a past trauma, MDMA can help our society deal with the trauma of the sixties” when the drugs were abused and outlawed. One would have to be absolutely clinically insane or severely Serotonin deficit (but would that not be the same as clinically "insane"?) if they did not enjoy MDMA / MDA. I can understand why people would not be interested in DMT. It shows one just how little they & we (the general world) know. Comparing MDMA to DMT is like comparing a catholic preacher to a Quantum Mechanics genius that lives on another planet we haven't even visited yet that has lived for millions of years and thinks your ignorance (Not you personally TC, I know you know) is fucking hilarious.

Serious research must be done. The fact that such an extreme divide even exists should be reason enough. I think the American institution must be pathologically insane for even having done so little in the field or else they have and KNOW that society would change for the better and we obviously can't have that happening, now can we?

If everyone starts smoking DMT, now, humanity might evolve to harbor the first generation of telepathic children. Who fucking knows? Whatever the fuck it is, it has been used for ages, it is not Earth like, and it feels like the real "reality", it feels like the future. Though it is apart of everything and every time that has ever existed. It looks a way that I would never ever be able to describe with puny, puny, puny, puny human words. And I used to think LSD was beautiful. PSH!

I'm pretty sure dosages measured in milligrams will suffice. Pounds seem a bit excessive. Also, it's easier to be taken seriously if you seem slightly less enthusiastic about drugs. They're fun and all, but once you start talking about "real realities" it's tough not to laugh you off. If there are indeed "real realities" that we are unaware of, the necessary research is probably in physics, not neuroscience or biochemistry or whatever.

We already have some ideas about what happens in your brain during ego-loss that seem to be much less of a stretch than "real realities."

Or to summarize in fewer words: Don't do drugs.

If you do drugs, you'll start to think maybe drugs are the path to having telepathic powers and superhuman abilities...


Drugs aren't inherently good or bad, they just change our bodies in different ways and as we study those affects we can see the good and bad. But any drugs that mess with the way you think and the way you perceive the world require extreme care. You really are running the risk of waking up one morning and discovering that you are a tiger and everything you do is winning.
