He tells it pretty bloody straight.
And i'll be honest, if i was sat right here smoking a joint made from a plant i'd grown in my back garden, i'd say; who the hell am i hurting?

THE ECONOMY! You could be in prison manufacturing some shit while giving the prison company double the income, once for being in prison(the state gets billed) and second for working for some other company(which gets billed for your work).
It's a win-win situation for the private prison. And in no way akin to slave-labor, no no no no!

edit: desarcasmified... yes, that's a word now.

It's time we stop referring to the "war on drugs" as a failure. These policies are a smashing success for the prison industry, the firearms industry, and the alcohol industry among others.

It also keeps a significant portion of the (mostly lower class) population broke, addicted, depressed, imprisoned and powerless.

I agree with the argument. But I am getting rather disgusted with people wanting to classify everything in terms of "sides" when it comes to issues like these. He has Pat Robertson on there talking about liberals doing this.

Whenever it's said, I have to wonder why that person is bringing it up now...what is their side doing wrong right now that they need to take focus off of? Because, damn near universally this seems to be the way they operate anymore and that's ALL of these "groups" in politics.

Grouping up like that makes it easier to remember who you think is an asshole I guess, instead of actually talking to them or at least cuts the pool of people down significantly. Then you just have to figure out who in your group is an asshole, and vote with him anyway because those are all the friends you have.
