"I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!!!1" Theme Song

"I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!!!1" is available on XBOX Live Indie Games for $1 (80 Bill Gates Pennies). The gameplay itself isn't all that remarkable, but as you can hear, the theme song is epic.

I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!!!1

Welcome to my game.
I put Zombies in it, for your pain.
They come shambling out from the sides.
You better shoot them or you're gonna die.
I made a game with Zombies in it.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I made this game using XNA.
It costs a dollar and I hope you pay it.
Yeah, just a dollar and you'll be in it.
Cause I made a game with Zombies in it.
And I made a game with Zombies in it.
Yeah I made a game with Zombies in it...
Yeah, Yeah, Ohhhh Yeah

ehehe.. how can you with a straight face call a game a ripoff of a game that, really, is the first game every single programmer does?
it's as much a ripoff as me walking is to my father walking
it's natural, it's obvious, it's what always happened and it's not original

if i had an xbox, i might even pay a $1 for it...
any amount of insanity in game development is to be encouraged

The first game in this genera was ROBOTRON , I Think it can be hard sometimes to tell if something is a homage, rip off or something that's very similar but of value in its own right.

In the end it can just come down to intentoin so long as the dev is ohnist about where they got the idea from what they wanted to do then it dosent matter , I would only have a problem with someone peddaling mechanics as there inventoin , with a game mechanic as old as the one in this game it would be obsurd for the developer to claim it as there own and hence I think it would be hard to call it a ripp off. The $1 fee seems fair to me for the work he has done in implimentatoin + the song + art work.

I get more angry when companies patient fundamental mechanics , its like some dip shit paintenting the wheel all it dose is hinder creative freedom and development of the mideaum.

It's not just the sort of game that we're talking about, but the art style. Compare the enemies and powerups to Crimsonland...
