hm, i thought it was because they could sense the air compression caused by the swatter, which is why swatters have holes.

Wish someone would pay me millions to do this kind of in-valuable research.

I always catch em with my hands and take them outside of the house. I literally cant hurt a fly.
Approaching from the rear doesnt let me catch em so easily. I found that getting em right from the front gives me almost a 100% chance to catch em.
