schlubsays...Yes. That is the correct way to tie a tie.
Half-Windsor == fail. I always think the smaller knots make it look like the person's being strangled - that, and they don't know what they're doing.

Please don't. This is the worst double windsor i've seen in a long time (including my own first tries). Videojug has a pretty good clip. And if you aren't a short guy try using less tie for the "narrow" end, because otherwise your tie will likely end up too short (which looks even worse than too long).
