How Tyrion Would Like to Die

Tyrion and Bronn find themselves in a sticky wickett when their camp is circled by Stone Crows. Luckily, Tyrion has a level 1,438 Silver Tongue achievement.

About 10 years ago, I was perusing his website and I found GRRM's email address, just as a coincidence. On a whim, I emailed him and asked, "Is this really you?" and he replied "Yes." I have now met him in person twice. He is a really nice guy and his wife Paris is awesome.

Aniatariosays...

^Really?!You lucky bastard, that would be almost impossible now. Ever since I finished watching the series I haven't been able to put the books down, there's honestly never a dull moment. Each chapter's as exciting as the next.

If you ask me GRRM's almost as wicked as he is brilliant, I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that no character is safe, though if I had to bank on anyone surviving, It'd probably be Varys.

Halfway through Clash of Kings now and I would strongly recommend reading them..

ALL OF THEM, that includes the first. Even if you've watched the series.

Smugglarnsays...

I prefer the age of the characters in the TV production. I doubt there could be any substantial "historical accuracy" reasoning behind graphic sexual descriptions involving 11 and 13 year olds. Oh, and there is some bad writing in the first book at least (as far as I have come). I kind of miss the grandeur in the book though.

While working as an intern at ABC Sports, Peter Jennings approached me at the commissary and asked whether a particular bagel (in a pile of bagels) was egg. I said, "I'm not sure." Whoo, someone pinch me. That same week in NYC, I rode in an elevator with Brian Setzer at the Mayflower hotel.

But my real 15 min was when Ben Fong-Torres, longtime editor of Rolling Stone, called me on the phone and asked me about the song I'd written about him. That was exciting.

Jealous? No, I was merely sharing my story like the others. And I'm a Kindle guy so I have no particular affinity for physical books nor do I collect autographs. I'm quite enjoying GRRM though: currently reading Clash of Kings.
