Canada has a culture of care. We have healthcare and in so many ways we take care of each other. We do not have the same violence as the USA seems to (35M pop vs 330M is a big factor)
We have about 200 shooting deaths per year.
One reason we don't have the deaths by gun is because it is a bureaucratic nightmare.
I think our crazy but strict laws, that even our legal system doesn't fully understand, keeps guns out of the hands of *anybody who wants one now*.

No one thinks of Canada as a nation of gun nuts, but collectively, Canadians own over 10 million guns and this number keeps growing. Canada has been ranked 6th best country overall for gun owners by Guns & Ammo Magazine.
There's a new type of gun owner emerging -- 20 years ago you needed to know someone with guns to be introduced to them, but today, young people are discovering guns online. This new generation of young gun enthusiasts is often simultaneously pro-gun and pro-gun control, almost fanatical about following gun safety laws. They're making shooting a fast-growing extreme sport.
Despite somewhat high gun ownership and liberal laws, Canada’s gun violence is still remarkably low. What is it about Canada's gun culture and laws that separates it from the US? VICE talks to gun legislators and enthusiasts in Canada and the US to find out.

I wish more people in both countries (especially the ones who have zero interest in guns) would take a few mins to learn what is and was is not true about them. It is almost impossible to find any unbiased pro or anti gun information, so when it's packaged well like this video, people should take advantage to learn. (but many just are not interested as I am.... I am pretty biased being an owner) *promote
