Hmm...how can we make Mike Gravel look crazier?

Yikes.

Ok Ok - Did anyone else get the impression that he was trying to make their head explode, got frustrated and then threw the rock.

Seriously though, I think he has got the elusive and desired "avant-garde artist" vote in the bag. If only a crying clown would come by in the end.

It's interesting.. I don't dislike Gravel, but he kinda creeps me out. I believe he's sincere unlike the neocons secretly pushing the NWO "agenda".

I have one question about this video.. it's obvious he's making a statement. What does the big rock being thrown into the lake symbolize? I'm still unsure about that.

God help me, the youtubers figured it out before me. From the comments:

"Shut up. Listen. Toss the war... Walk away.

Thank God for LSD and David Lynch, or I might have never figured this one out "

There's another comment noting that "a rock" sounds kind of like "Iraq".

Okay I got it! First, he can do nothing but sit by and watch - for far too long - while GWB screws everything up. Then, when he gets his chance, he steps up, and deals with 'a rock' (geddit... Iraq?). He then dusts his hands and moves on.

Ahem... right.

Edit: aw man. Beaten to part of my guess by 3 mins.

An average citizen can make waves. (this is directly from Mike Gravel)

I find it offensive that the poster said "yikes" on their description. Maybe you think it's funny, but many of us find this commercial far more profound and powerful than any of the talking-point nonsense that the popular candidates like Edwards and Obama make.

This "yikes" comment is offensive to me, and probably a lot more other viewers.

Boo-hoo, volum.

I get the rock thing; it might've made a nice point if he hadn't been staring silently into the camera for minutes beforehand.

Besides, you must've been watching different debates than I've been - Gravel's an embarrassment.
