CaptWillardsays...Though I often find Hitchens to be an insufferable prick (and I'm a liberal atheist), I have to agree with him on this one.
deedub81says...Is it just me, or does that man look evil?
...and Romney has answered all those questions here and here.
dagsays...Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)
Just curious deedub - what do you like about Romney besides his Moromonness? I find him wooden, artificial and trying just too hard. I'd honestly like to hear your opinion.
blankfistsays...Upvote for Hitchens being a crass ass, but making perfect sense.
Issykittysays...Hannity's a f--kin' liar. He obviously didn't read sh--, pathetic hack that he is.
edit: whoops, this comment is supposed to be for the OTHER Hitchens vid.
8727says...hitchens was cut off the instant he said about joseph smith improving on jesus christ and the bible.
it's more obvious in the slightly longer clip, where they actually say they'd cut him off http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uUK6CQgSM8c&feature=related
jmzerosays...Meh. I think some questions make sense (racism, etc..). Others - dealing with the nature and specifics of his belief - seem pretty cheap.
For example, would it be fair to ask a Muslim candidate whether they believed that Christ wasn't actually killed, but was miraculously saved by Allah? Now, maybe you do think that's a fair question - but pretty much nobody in the media would ask that, so I don't think it's that crazy for Romney to ask for the same treatment. If there's something substantive, ask - but if it's just "let's remind people that this guy doesn't believe the same as everyone else", then that's silly and unfair.
I think it's just as well if general religious questions not related to personal behavior or critical values are left off the table.
Throbbinsays...FoxNews tried to pull the wool over everyones eyes (again).
From 2:08 on in the video, the banner read;
"Hitchens: Religion shouldn't be a question Gov Romney has to answer."
WTF is that? Where does Hitchens even imply anything OTHER than the OPPOSITE of that statement?
FoxNoise sure is desperate these days.
siftbotsays...Tags for this video have been changed from 'church, state, LDS' to 'church, state, LDS, atheist, Hitchens' - edited by blankfist
