Absolutely amazing post! For a period this show would rule my Saturdays. Xena was a cool show, but Hercules was less ridiculous.

Yup...I didn't care much for Xena. I started to watch these with my son at one time and he really liked them too.

They were both awesome... and dude, Hercules was just as ridiculous.

Are you guys kidding me? This and Xena are the crappiest shows to ever come out of North America for a long long long time. Just pathetic, silly stories, totally out of character, the way they dressed looked like they came out of dark ages story, and not ancient greece, not to mention the location. Greece looks NOTHING like that. They should have shot it in california... someway between LA and San Francisco.

Empire, Everyone that liked the show knew how "bad" it was. It wasn't about how well the monsters were made (CGI) or if landscape looks remotely like where they claim to be, the point is it was a fun show to watch. (Especially on lazy Saturdays when nothing really comes on anyway)

Besides, you can't deny that there was some serious ball-flexin' in Hercules.
