Hannity has a Meltdown on the Economy

The good stuff starts around 2:20.

How much longer can one listen to a man with his finger plugging his ears, attempting to outyell the other person.

If only Hannity and O'Reilly could have a yelling match at each other - then THAT would actually qualify as entertainment!

Inflation and unemployment lower now than it has been in thirty years? What is this being based off of? "The recession that Clinton-Gore gave us", seriously? Blame the bad economy right now on the president who was in office seven years ago, during which time the economy was supposedly still healthy? Accusing the author of being partisan on the subject was just the icing on the cake. The arrogance and hypocrisy is astounding. And yet, people will eat this stuff up. It's like reality television meets politics.

Sean Hannity I think managed to spew more shit in a few minutes than I have heard in a while

"We all need to drill now, and he is wrong on that"

O Rly? Hannity is a McBush ass kisser with no opinion of his own.

If I was the producer for that show Hannity would be so fired

He doesn't have to be right in order to bring in the ratings, and money is often the bottom line in news (now always, but often). I doubt half the people that watch O'Reilly agree with him either.

He makes O'Reilly seem like a nice guy.. almost.

Hannity makes me feel the same way. Setting aside O'Reilly's partisan BS, he's actually a pretty entertaining character and no one throws a better tantrum. Hannity, on the other hand, comes of as a man who is dead inside, forced to blindly pimp an ideology that he doesn't fully understand. An unremarkable drone, regurgitating talking points verbatim without a hint of individuality or personality. Even his breakdowns are unremarkable. I feel sorry for him and his family.

"if you can convince the american people that the average family is doing great, then your guy deserves to win the election, but i dont think the american people are that stupid"

if the american people weren't that stupid, half the shows on fox news would be out of business by now.

Running on the narrative is catering to the lowest common denominator and dumbing down politics to a soap opera. It's disgusting and pitiable, but sadly it's necessary.

I love that the interviewee bites back.
