On Monday Aug 11th, Richard Dawkins had a conversation with Paula Kirby at the Edinburgh Book Festival, in which she asked him to explore the relationship between the gods of religion and the more way-out speculations of science fiction. Afterwards there was a Q & A session, which reverted to familiar territory.

In listening to smart men like Dawkins, Sagan, Hawking, et al, I'm reminded why certain fundamentalist theists believe the way they do: it's far easier and requires far less education.

Plus, we can't rule out stupidity.

It doesn't take much education to be a fundamentalist atheist, either, a breed I've run into both online and in real life.

That's a bit of a retarded statement Hadouken. All Athiests are fundamentalist Athiests. If they weren't they wouldn't be Athiest. It's pretty straight forward. An Athiest does not believe in the existence of a god/gods. Any less and they aren't athiest.
