mauz15says...Great video. Hopefully this will make it to the front page now that we have a brain channel! It received 1 vote when I submitted it.
LittleRedsays...Well "Girl living with only half her brain!" sounds a little more exciting than "Brain Plasticity."
I think this is absolutely fascinating. It likely has to do with the fact she was so young when the surgery was performed, but that the brain completely rewired itself so she can really do anything - it looks like one of the clips it showed of her, she was in a dance class of some sort. And they managed not to slice through the corpus callosum? That takes some serious skill. It's not like it's just floating there in the middle with nothing around it. There's really not much definition until you've already cut through into the ventricles.
I'm just so excited and astonished I can't even formulate proper sentences. I never would've imagined this possible.
therealblankmansays...Fascinating video. I wish her luck in her future run at the US Vice Presidency!
Fadesays...This kind of thing is all the proof I need to know that God doesn't exist.
gwiz665says...I JUST saw an episode of House where they did this.
mauz15says...>> ^Fade:
This kind of thing is all the proof I need to know that God doesn't exist.
That makes no sense whatsoever. So the wonderful ability of the brain to adapt itself is 'proof' that God does not exist?
MarineGunrocksays...Couldn't and wouldn't the same thing be said the other way around? That God designed such an awesome organ that the brain is able to do that?
