Ghibli - The Miyazaki Temple

Documentary about Studio Ghibli and the legendary anime director Miyazaki. Includes interviews with a variety of animators, directors, artists etc. in the field of anime, as well as Miyazaki himself.

Several anime features created by Studio Ghibli have won the Animage Anime Grand Prix award including Laputa: Castle in the Sky in 1986, My Neighbor Totoro in 1988, and Kiki's Delivery Service in 1989. In 2002, Spirited Away won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature, the first anime film to win an Academy Award.

The one thing that seems to be absent from this documentary is the incredible contribution of Joe Hisaishi(sp?). The composer of a great deal of the music from the Miyazaki/Takahata films. I think that the intangible/amazing feeling that come from their films are greatly in part to the amazing music produced by Hisaishi.
