Gerald Celente on FOX - Obamageddon is coming!

Celente talks with FOX & Friends and lays out some of his predictions for the fate of America in the near future.

I don’t know where conservatives get their crystal ball, but I hope they kept the receipt. Lets take a look at their track record:

*Prediction: The Iraq war will be over in six months
*Prediction: Our troops will be welcomed as heros, candy and flowers will rain down on them
*Prediction: The oil revenues will pay for the Iraq war.
*Prediction: Overthrowing Sadam will cause a domino effect of stability breaking out in the Mid East
*Prediction: WMD will be found in Iraq
*Prediction: A connection between Sadam and 9-11 will be proven.
*Prediction: The autopsy will prove Terry Schivio had a fully functioning brain
*Prediction: It will be proven that Mark Foley/Larry Craig were set up by dastardly liberal operatives.

Basically, these tools couldn’t predict six o’clock at five-thirty. Additionally, this Gerald Celente has been making the same predictions for the last 20 years. It’s almost as if he wants these things to happen.

I would much rather see companies under government control than under the control of a couple of wealthy men or unelected random people. granted it depends on the type of government you have which in Manny cases is just controlled by a few wealthy men.

These shows and commentators exploit peoples presumptions by not clarifying what thay mean, for example in some cases and some circumstances it would be far better to have government involvement and would lead to better life for everyone , in other cases government involvement can be detrimental.

take the government owning a large car company, technicly it would be the people that now own it so instead of the profits going to a couple of people at the top thay can go into things that benefit the public , the goverment you would hope would be far less likely to pollute the environment as the motivation would not be pure profit driven, you would also think the government would try and make as manny jobs as possible.

having sead all that its allso posable that a goverment based magment could be a compleate fuck up because the people who would be incharge of it in goverment might be idoits as thay have been part of a public systamatic system that can be very slow.

Don't confuse the guest with the network that is interviewing him. Celente is talking about economic policies... it's Fox that is placing the blame on Obama, ignoring the fact that Celente criticizes Bush for doing the same thing.

The issue that he is talking about is the crash of the dollar. If China and others decide to sell of their dollar assets then there isn't a damn thing the US can do to keep the dollar from dropping like a rock.

The problem is that our excessive spending is making that even more likely. The stimulus and bank bailouts could work perfectly, but if it scares our large investors away from our currency then it won't matter. If the dollar does collapse then you will likely see the things he is predicting. Printing money to pay the bills is not sustainable.

This guy isn't saying "republicans are right" or democrats are evil", he's saying that specific economic policies are very dangerous and should be avoided. Celente's predictions may be avoided, but he isn't someone who goes around blindly criticizing Obama just for the sake of partisanship (or if he does, it isn't in this video).

*sigh* When will people stop criticizing profit as if it's the source of all evil?

The opposite of profit is wasting money, something far far worse for society, and governments are very good at it on a very large scale, just look at the recession we're in.

And next up we're going to resurrect Edgar Cayce from the dead. He'll give us his predictions of the end of the world as seen here in the Weekly World News! He's been accurate in the past.

Stay tuned!

Celente looks at numbers and trends.. not the eternal ether or whatever Cayce was into.

And he has been right before. He doesn't have any particular political leanings, as he describes it himself, he's a "political atheist."

He refers to facts, and I assume he calls it 'Obamageddon' is because it's happening under Obama. I am pretty sure he doesn't solely blame Obama himself but the economic policies undertaken by both the previous and current U.S. administration.

If he is not blaming Obama, why does he refer to his predictions as "Obamageddon" ?

To get attention mainly.

Celente opposes the current economic policy, and Obama just happens to be the one pushing it. If we enter a period of hyperinflation then that will pretty much be Obama's fault, and that is what Celente is predicting in essence. Obama isn't to blame for the economy going south before he took office, but that doesn't mean his policies can't do more damage.

It's sorta like Peter Schiff. Some people call him partisan for attacking Obama's economic policies, forgetting that he made the same criticisms of Bush (and he criticizes others for not having done the same).
