Gamesmaster Gore Challenge - Doom II

Old BBC Channel 4 show on video games from 12 years ago. The kicker is that their guest contestant is my current boss!

From YouTube:
The Gamesmaster Gore Special was the final episode from Series 4 (set in Hell), and was originally aired at Midnight on Channel 4 (13/01/1995). Here is the final challenge from the show, Doom II on the PC, with co-commentary by Dave 'GamesAnimal' Perry.

Gamesmaster was a channel 4 programme which ran throughout the 90's, and involved contestants pitting their gaming skills against the Gamesmaster.

heh, that looked completely fake. right before he goes through the blue door he has 20% then as he opens it he has 22% with no health in site. he takes damage out the ass once he enters that room but his health never drops. Also he picks up a health kit at 1:48 left and his heath doesn't go up. Then magically at the end his health drops just enough from him to finish with 1% heath?

BS!

Cool though that your boss likes to play games.

Yeah, I asked him about that, and he said that the whole chainsaw portion was added in after his run, so yeah, that part was hacked up a bit. The first part of the run was real, though. I guess you can't have a Gamesmaster Gore segment without the gore! He still has the joystick they gave him at the end, too.

Likes to play games? We make games for a living.

Back in the Doom days, I remember there being far more diversity in controller choice. I remember a few guys using joysticks and such. The occasional Gravis Gamepad and such. But I was hooked on keyboard and mouse.

Totally faked, he is even playing on 2 different levels, the first one is MAP03, the second I cant remember, but I'm pretty sure it wasnt MAP04, which would still be a miracle, since he could not have finished 03 in that time
