Fox News Host Mocks Jon Stewart's 9/11 Response

Douchebaggery at it's finest, this guy is the highest rated "news man" in his time slot. Do note the last sentence he mutters in this piece.

this guy is an idiot, but i have been wondering from the videos i've seen lately - if Jon Stewart's just a good actor. i mean does he really ever say or uncover anything that you didnt already know?

"i mean does he really ever say or uncover anything that you didnt already know?"

Umm. It's a satire program, it makes fun of political news. If you watch the normal news, then you won't hear anything you didn't already know on Daily Show. But if you don't watch the normal news, then you will hear stuff that you didn't already know on Daily Show.

Well, no, of course not; it is satire. But one of the odd things is that he does make a lot of connections regular news does not, particularly when someone says "I did not say ..." he will often come up with the video where they did, in fact, say. The sad part is that it is a satire show that finds the lie, but "regular" news lets the lie stand, or just has some pundit protest.

Here are the lefties with their panties in a bunch, *again*.

My dogs sit in the back yard whenever they are out, looking for something to bark at. Staring into the nothingness until the 90 degree heat and high humidity forces them inside. If something moves, they are on it! fedquip, I hope someone is watering and feeding you...

And why is this satire off limits? Because it's the left-wing candyman, Jon Stewart? Who, as previously pointed out, makes a living mocking others. Again, the rules apply to "you", not "me", right?

Thanks for keeping me informed about what's happening on Fox, I don't watch it much, but it sure is pretty funny.

There is no "satire" in this, just mean-spiritedness. Stewart satirizes those on both sides of the aisle who deserve mockery through their foolery.

I can't say I'm surprised intellectual giants like John Gibson (or Rotty, for that matter) don't know the difference.

I don't think I've heard of anyone saying they shouldn't be able to wiretap/follow/spy-on anyone they determine to be a threat. The concern is that the government is removing the checks and balances which protect anyone who actually might be innocent.

You may think this government has the best intentions and maybe they do. But what if 10 years or 100 down the road another government you don't agree with has these same powers.

Still happy?

Like Benjamin Franklin said ; Those who sacrifice liberty for a little security deserve neither, and lose both. I have a feeling he knew what he was talking about, as did the other fore fathers of the U.S.

Once again, what's good for the goose, is good for the gander.

Jon Stewart on Crossfire-- he only managed to shut the whole show down with his viciousness, but I guess that was "satire" as well?

That1Swedesays...

I would attribute Crossfire's disappearance to its suckage (sucky even for the crap channel that FOX is), not to Jon Stewart.
Trying to make fun of Jon Stewart is slightly pointless as he takes care of that himself.

turcker carlson deserved what he had coming to him. he did nothing but jab at a COMEDIAN for not asking the hard hitting news questions.

the corporate news networks in general need to actually report news and not celebrity gossip. floundering pop stars are top stories. the news networks are the wool over the nation's eyes.

you want to see viciousness turn on Nancy Grace sometime.

Crossfire was on CNN, not Fox, and it's just a coincidence that a few months after Stewart went on the show and did his little tirade, the show was cancelled? Sorry son, a show with a 23 year run doesn't cancel itself for no reason, not even suckage (the Simpsons are still going, case in point.)

"turcker carlson deserved what he had coming to him. he did nothing but jab at a COMEDIAN for not asking the hard hitting news questions."

I never said Carlson and Begala did or didn't deserve a tongue lashing, did I? The issue is Stewart, who acted crass, vicious, unfunny, and stupid, all at the same time. Quite a feat, imho...
