Dunno about "fail" I think that's pretty much exactly what they expected to happen.

1. Pick at building with crane
2. Building fall over
3. Profit?

Agreed, it looks like the building fell in exactly the direction it was intended to fall, not sure how much better one could expect a demolition like this to go?
