MaxWilderI tell the same thing to everybody who has a break up. If the romance just fizzles after a couple weeks of knowing each other, then maybe there's a chance of going straight to friendship, but for the most part people need to relearn to live without each other in order to move on in a healthy way.
In general, guys want to stay friends because they're not ready to give up on the sexual potential of the relationship, and girls want to stay friends to keep the guy who treats her nice and listens to her problems.
Let it go.
