I don't think that when Colbert first started doing this schtick that his parody was actually a foretelling, spot-on impersonation of Glenn Beck years later.

Absolutely. He started out wanting to pan O'reilly, but clearly has been playing Beck all along.

Great segment and so very true. Beck is a hack and a fraud and I'm sure deep down he knows his days on air are numbered. Sadly, far to many people take his word as gospel.
