Cleansing Dollar Bills 101

Regarding the legality of removing "In God We Trust" off of dollar bills.

From Joe Zamecki:
Here's me talking about what's legal and not legal regarding marking "In God We Trust" off of our dollar bills. There are still a lot of people who don't know about this stuff.

And if you actually believe that this solution is illegal, and the problem of In God We Trust on money is legal...(sheesh!) then check out the information that many Atheists have worked hard to gather from the government on this issue:

The best way to combat evil is to confront it with good. confronting religoin in a negative way ore destructive way will not relay succeed in suppressing it.

for example by blanking out the words in god we trust with a marker mearly draws more attention to the words and makes anyone religious angry ore draws attention to something people with no interest in religoin would probably not notice, the action dos not communicate anything in itself other than censorship.

if people are just proactive in promoting science and rationality then the in god we trust just becomes an amusing quirk written on the doller bill and people will become to clever to believe the nonsense in the bible.

i hadn't thought of that westy, you're right.
atheists(+agnostics) would be better off just writing letters to the government asking them to remove it. it's not like people spend time staring at their notes anyways...

Please sign the E Pluribus Unum" petition.

Sometime within the next 6 months the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals will hand out new decisions on whether 'under God' in the Pledge and 'In God We Trust' as the national motto violate the First Amendment. We anticipate a favorable decision. I will email the petition to all Congresspeople shortly after the decision is announced. I will also print the petition and mail it to all Congresspeople if there are more than 500 signatures at that time.
