Giving a foetus "rights" is ludicrous. But, of course, the religious extremists also believe masturbation -spilling the seed- is tantamount to murder. Policy making should be the result of reasoned, logical, sensible, and intellectual debate, and not allowed to be influenced by religious zealots, whose sole purpose is to totally control every aspect of our lives.

How come when a person kills a pregnant women they can be tried for 2 murders and yet when the pregnant woman aborts it is OK?

If we lived in a fantasy utopia where there was no rape, no birth complications, no unexpected situations and everyone was financially and emotionally secure enough to have a child and demand outstripped supply when it came to adoptions, then I MIGHT agree with you that people should be expected to be responsible for their actions. But that world doesn't exist.

Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being.

1. Abortion is legal, therefore it IS lawful, and therefore, not murder. Deal with it. You really should be familiar with this since you don't seem to have too much problem with killing people who pray to different god than you.

2. A fetus is not a human being. That's why we have different words for them. Words matter. Deal with it.
