Band of Brothers: D-Day 1944 - "The Drop" No Music

Since we are on a BoB kick, I thought I'd submit the scene from the movie that scared the living shit out of me. I can't believe people really went through this and did not literally shit their pants.

June 6th 1944, D-Day. From episode 2: Day of Days.

Who says they didn't poop their pants? That's not exactly what you add to the memoirs years later.

My brother is in Special Forces and has to do a jump every 90 days or so to stay Airborne qualified - he says it helps if you let a little pee out whenever you go out the door.

Add getting shot at to the mix? My pants would NOT be clean.

My grandpa was a flight mechanic over the Pacific, and had to jump more than a few times. 18 years old.

"What was it like Grampa?"
'Well.... Its worse at night. On a moonless night you don't know when you'll hit the ocean, don't know where the other men are, don't know much. Just hit the water and hope someone finds you the next day.' (paraphrasing)

I need to watch this series again.

So do I.

I'll tell you what, if I ever had to do something like that I'd hope like hell that I had someone like Dick Winters leading me.
