An amazing piece of progressive rock, this video shows how Ron Jarzombek of Spastic Ink composed the track A Wild Hare to mirror some of the scenes from the Disney movie Bambi.
About the band, from Wikipedia:
Spastic Ink started out as a solo project for guitarist Ron Jarzombek of Watchtower. After being joined by Ron's brother Bobby Jarzombek on drums and bass player Pete Perez (both of Riot at the time), they released their first album, Ink Complete, in 1996. Another album, Ink Compatible, was released in 2004.
Ink Complete specializes in very complex instrumental fusion metal by using uncommon time signatures, frequent changes of time signatures and melodies that follow no particular scale. For example, in the song A Wild Hare, musical themes follow certain happening events of the Disney movie Bambi. What makes the song very uncommon is that the guitar (and sometimes bass) frequently play the notes of spoken dialogue spoken in the movie, instead of using any of the original score. This intends to make the piece sound cacophonous, especially if the listener is unaware of the connection between the song and the movie.
