Bale Out! RevoLucian's Christian Bale Remix

A dance remix of Christian Bales on set blow up during the filming of Terminator

Ah, Technobium - one of the core elements of the Interweb.

When Technobium binds to a compound, it immediately converts that compound into a techno remix. This is most commonly found naturally occurring in celebrity audio samples, political blunders and open-mic gaffes.

Now, if only someone would remix the Cosby / ESPN mind melt. That'd be insane.

EDIT: Nevermind.

For those who don't know what this is in reference to, here is the audio clip: http://www.aolcdn.com/tmz_audio/020209_christianbale.mp3

And here is a statement from the director:

"If you are working in a very intense scene and someone takes you out of your groove...It was the most emotional scene in the movie," said Franklin. "And for him to get stopped in the middle of it. He is very intensely involved in his character. He didn't walk around like that all day long. It was just a moment and it passed.
"This was my second movie with Christian, and it has always been a good experience with him," added Franklin, who also worked with the actor on 2000's Shaft. "He is so dedicated to the craft. I think someone is begging to make some noise about this, but I don't think it's fair. The art of acting is not paint by numbers, it's an art form."

Imagine yourself as a celebrity and having your words tossed back at you like this.
It must be surreal and it could confirm that you might be the only person on the planet who hears anything or matters.

you know i'm going to have to side with bale on this.

an experienced DP should know how to perform his job without disrupting the actor. i wouldn't tolerate that sort of yelling for a PA or a grip, but he does mention that he's a nice guy but he's f*$@ing up on the job.

plus i've heard worse said at work about coworkers that repeatedly mess up. i'm still looking forward to the movie

I could almost sympathize with Bale except for the "I'M GOING TO F***ING KICK YOUR F***ING ASS" part. Name calling, refusal to work together, and threatening to trash the set are bad but maybe you can justify it because he's an intense actor having a bad day. But if you're about to beat the crap out of the directory of photography (and I don't doubt that Bale could) that's inexcusable.

I'm with Bale on this one. I can't wait to see who hits who first with the law-suits. Whoever released this tape better watch their ass...

The "I'M GOING TO F***ING KICK YOUR F***ING ASS" part, was a bit over the top though.

Yeah, what's wrong with you people? Siding with Bale?

All he accomplished with his little tirade is to prove he has anger issues (didn't he assault his MOTHER not too long ago?), and that as a celebrity he thinks he has the right to treat others like sub-human punching bags.

The sheer number of homosexual man-crushes for Bale apparent on the sift truly is surprising. Just because you defend him on the internet, it doesn't make you his friend or gay sex toy.

Bale just went down 7 notches in my book. What a fucking jerk.

I think Bale may have been a tad on the rough side, BUT, you have to take it in context.

If the DP is wondering in and out of your site lines while you are trying to do a big scene, I would say yes, give him a tounge lashing. Also, for the DP, you apologized... SHUT UP, stop adding on... apologize and WALK AWAY.

Most of us don't have someone recording our every moment and good/bad days go un-noticed by the general public. So stand back, enjoy the fun, but really... Do any of us really know what happened? Enough to make bold public statements about sanity? I'm not saying it was right, I'm just saying it funnier with a techno beat behind it.

The man, he speaks sense.

So it's alright for Bale to have a bad day and go on a tirade, but it's not ok for a regular guy working on the set to have a bad day and accidentally walk onto the set. Got it.

Actors can do whatever they want on a bad day, everyone else gets verbally abused and fired when they have a bad day.

Regular guy? This guy is the Director Of Photography! As far as set hierarchic goes here in the US he is on level with the director for decision making of framing and lighting. The entire camera crew answers to him.

Wandered on to set?! The DPs behavior wasn't new, it was something he had been doing regularly on set and people were getting pretty tired of it, he has also done it on other films he has worked on. This DP has a rather tenuous reputation in town for being condescending to his crews and just all around not fun to work with.

So again, as I said before, CONTEXT people, context.
