9058says...Ok ok I dont get it im sorry leave me alone! But really I love the law and never heard of Godwins law, I assumed people always brought up Hitler to automatically prove their right in a cheap desperate last move cause who can argue against it without looking like a nazi supporter.
my15minutessays...yeah, that's pretty much what Godwin thought, too.

thanks for your comment, and vote, jordass!

siftbotsays...Re-queueing this video for one more try; last queued Sunday, December 2nd, 2007 7:10pm PST - requeue requested by submitter my15minutes.
rougysays...Good post, my15. M5. Just joking.
Good stuff.
In this state of affairs here in America, Godwin's law seems like a pretty cheesy way to shut people up.
We define things, everything, by way of comparison.
And right-wing Americans and Bush supporters in particular have a tendancy to...oh...blame other people even when they're in charge of everything...or accuse somebody of attacking them, even when that somebody is much smaller and far away, or claim that the only real American opinion is the one that agrees with theirs.
my15minutessays...heh. well, in that case, rougy, just politely ask them if they are, in fact, fascist !
of course, they'll simply deny it anyway.
but only because that is almost as equally charged a term as Nazi, even though it's a perfectly legitimate philosophy of governance, even if it is one i abhor.
but hey. if it quacks like a goose, and it steps like a goose...

Then why do you resort to it so many times? You're constantly comparing conservatives to Nazi's or telling people they don't understand. Unfortunately, the sift doesn't log enough comments on your profile to go all the way back to every time it's come up, but from sorting through the cess pool of your personal attacks, here's one from just 13 hours ago.

Maybe you should look at your own style of personal attacks and arguements before you praise this video. I'm only bringing this up because the constant attacks are getting pretty old.
winkler1says...Some others-
That's pre-911 thinking.
You're entitled to your opinion.

that's pre-1215 thinking...
we're all entitled to our opinions. some of us just find more thoughtful, and productive, ways to express them, eh?
thx for the upvotes, everyone!
