IDM techno masters Autechre bring the industrial madness in this video for Second Bad Vilbel. The video was directed by Chris Cunningham who has done memorable videos for 'Come to Daddy', 'Windowlicker', and 'Rubber Johnny' for Aphex Twin. He has also done videos for Bjork, Squarepusher, Madonna, and Portishead.

Third word is actually Vilbel. It's important to get these nonsense words spelled correctly!

Chris Cunningham videos are one of those annoying reminders that even though it's great that media has been democratized (to a certain degree) and we can do things like sift the good videos from the bad, but still... This looks so much better at higher resolution.

I couldn't agree more that these vids look better in higher res. I guess the hope is that someone who has never been exposed to this, will see and be inspired to pick up dvd's (or some better media form) that will allow them to experience it in all it's glory.
