Attack on Iran would turn region into a fireball

After reports of Israeli military exercises as rehearsals for an attack on Iran, and about US administration and Congress sanctioning covert operations against Iran, the Iranian Foreign Minister dismisses the idea saying that Israel is in too much internal turmoil to "resort to such craziness." He adds that the US is in no position to "take another risk in the region." Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff says "opening up a third front right now would be extremely stressful on us."

"Let us attack in the almighty name of God." Isreal

Transliteration "Let us attack in the Name of Allah" Iran

Sound similar here?

The Policy makers are toying with the blueprints for destruction.

One question to the sift, how many people (not just US people) think its the right thing to do? (attack Iran)

I for one think whole damn mess over there and here is beyond a SNAFU and a FUBAR.

Times like these I wished I lived in an unreality.

History is a long series of screwups held together by the decency of average citizens and the occasional vision of true leaders. No way should we attack Iran, which means that it will probably happen. If it does happen, the stock market will implode, oil will go to $250 a barrel and gold to $1300 an ounce within two to three weeks. Then we'll really see the shit start to hit the fan.

I think internatinal presure should be brought to bear on Iran. Iran isn't weathy in the since that it has a lot of vested capital in diverce markets. It is rich because of oil. Impose an imbargo on Iran (which will never happen because of china and russia) and all these problems would go away, but you will never have this much cooperations with the internatinal comunity because there are those who don't care about stability in the region at all, just their oil.

This will never play out as China and Russia have no interest in playing nice with the west. They would thward any effort to place an imbargo on Iran. I do not see any real solution here. Iran has openly addressed their desire to wipe Israel off the map, and are most likely developing nuclear weapons. As a signed member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty; they have come under critical review by the IAEA board a number of times on very serious charges. Trust me, a Nuclear Iran isn't in anyones best interests. Im not advicating we need to single handedly do something about it, the world needs to stop this and we are apart of this world. If Iran nukes anyone in region, it won't be the only nuke lanuched that day, and countless numbers would die...this isn't someone cheating on a test, this is big time. Once again, one of those big boy issues the UN should be all over like white on rice.
