arvanaThat looks so awesome. I'm dying to go to space... I'm soooo hoping one of my business ventures pays off in time to get on an early Virgin Galactic flight!
dgandhiHe is not just stepping off into space, he has an MMU on his back. Even if it malfunctioned, they could move the shuttle to intercept.
Remember, going up and down in a shuttle is much more dangerous than being in orbit on one, this is no where near as risky as getting up there in the first place.

Oh, yeah, sure, big words, PAL! I'd like to see YOU do that!

If I was crazy enough to go up in the shuttle, I would be easily crazy enough to do this. I'm not.
This is increadibly dangerous, but no where near as dangerous as the caption suggests. This is also the last time they did this, because somebody at ground control ran a risk/benefit analysis.
gwiz665They've got magnets on the shuttle to catch him by his huge metal balls.
ButterflyKissessays...*promote btw did anyone else notice the orb that comes into view at 1:47? I've seen these on other shuttle footage and they always seem to cut the feed once these come into view.
siftbotInvocations (promote) cannot be called by ButterflyKisses because ButterflyKisses is not privileged - sorry.
