If Hollywood took more risks on weird projects like this they'd have more misses, but they'd have bigger hits and overall I think they'd be doing way better.

There's a reason they hit cripplingly low numbers this summer.

This is being developed as a feature film, a joint Canadian, South African project (as predicted, there appears to be no Hollywood involvement). Same screenwriter as District 9. I think this video is just to help drum up some financial support.
