No correlation with intelligence, that's just a widely circulated myth. Most people get the answer wrong because of perceptual shortcuts.

This is kind of dumb, counting letters has nothing to do with IQ.

It works because in modern english we read the word "of" as "ov" but still register "f" with the fff sound, which is what most people search for.

1 "f" is what I got. Critter had the same idea. If they wanted me to count the "f"s in the other sentence, they could have said "the following sentence". Clearly, whoever made this video has a very low IQ.
