According to the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, testosterone is declining in American men at the alarming rate of one percent a year. But why? That’s what Casey Neistat and Oscar Boyson sought to uncover in their film An Emasculating Truth.

Ultimately, the short film goes beyond this question to further the current dialogue about today’s definition of masculinity in light of changing gender roles. Boyson, the film’s producer and on camera emcee, came to some very personal conclusions about what it means to be a man today, turning the camera on himself and asking the question ‘what does it mean to be a man?’

I read somewhere recently that the male gender is becoming more feminine and has has been so since the turn of the century because our lifestyles have changed. Natural instinct had women breeding with manly men so as to produce strong offspring that would have a better chance at survival in a harsh world with a rough life. But now women don't have to worry so much about her children facing hardships in their lives, so they are becoming more attracted to men that are more feminine, because it's a trait that they like in men. Therefore, through selective breeding, each new generation is becoming less and less "manly."

As for me, I got a testosterone boost from my new motorcycle. And if ever in doubt, I pound my hairy chest whilst drinking a beer and hammering something. Or I do the 'helicopter'...

Any by 24 minutes a day for grooming, I hope they mean from the point of taking my clothes off for a shower, the shower, the drying, the tooth brushing (twice a day) and shaving, and getting dressed again.
