Aerial View of Chilcotin River Landslide Breach

On Thursday, a massive landslide on the Chilcotin River blocked the river completely. Today that landslide was breached and the temporary lake that was up to 90 ft above normal river level was released. Water levels were expected to reach 21 meters above normal near the landslide and still be 12 meters above normal when it joins the Fraser River.
