Beyond belief. I'd like to see his skill at the real keys.

Problem is, on a real piano, each key has a certain sound and you learn to associate the key with a sound, this game, like Guitar Hero, just for the most part randomly assign colors to notes, but not always the same note. So you never learn the sound association. So yeah, as fleetze said, it's just rote memorization. I have a hard time at Guitar Hero because I know how it SHOULD be played. :-p

I'd have a lot more respect for someone who put in the time to master it on the piano than someone who put in the time to master it in an arcade game. Of course, if this guy could play any song you happen to run through that videogame without any practice, that would be a neat trick.

This is definitely one of those things that makes you scratch your head and ask "why?" I suppose that, "because it's fun" is a good enough answer though. I wonder how many quarters (or whatever) he spent learning to play that game so well.

At any rate, bravo. That certainly is a talent.

Yeah, at this level, it's just muscle memory. Give him a new song he's never played and I guarantee he'd goof 90% of it.

Still damn impressive though.
