InvaderSilI liked every single one of these soundtracks. However, these are all american movies. Nothing beyond hollywood.
HistNerdThat's a very good point. Tan Dun and Yann Tiersen would have been great additions, just to name a few.
HaricotVertUhm... Danny Elfman? Howard Shore? Mercifully, they included Hans Zimmer...
Nebosukesays...Way too John Williams heavy. Missing out on Danny Elfman, Michael Kamen, and the classic Bernard Herrmann.
While I love John Williams stuff, he liked to take a little too much from the classics (mostly Holst).
InvaderSilYeah, I did like Danny Elfman, particularly Batman.
tnaranGood comments about the other composers, but my biggest complaint was that more could have been added if they cut down some of the segments. As, pardon me, but ST:Generations' score!? Excuse me while I barf...
tnaranA better top ten here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyDgS8hdYFY
antBah for walkie talkies in E.T. scene.
There are too many good movie soundtracks. It's impossible to list all in ten minutes of YouTube video. Maybe hours. I'd rather see top 10 movie soundtracks by various people, AFI, or something.
GodlessGood stuff. HaricotVert and Nebosuke are making good suggestions (Zimmer's work for The Gladiator is outstanding), but for a true tribute to movie soundtracks, you got to include John Barry.
eric3579You may want to check my play list for other videos, you may have, which are *dead.
