2010 Calgary Hitmen Teddybear Toss

Over 23,000 teddy bears tossed onto the ice for charity after the first Hitmen goal in the first period.

16th Annual Teddy Bear Toss hockey game at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (December 12, 2010). Red Deer Rebels vs. Calgary Hitmen

The game was delayed 40 minutes, but at least it was for a good cause!

A teddy bear toss is a popular Christmas season promotion at many minor and junior hockey arenas throughout North America. Fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears to the game, and to throw them onto the ice when the home team scores its first goal.
