18 Year Old Surfer Tony Laureano 101' Wave Nazaré Portugal

The October swell of last year went down in history and could become even more important. Prof. Dr. Miguel Moreira, PhD in Sport Sciences at Human Motricity Faculty, Lisbon, measured the wave of Portuguese @tonylaureano_surf at 30.93m in height (101 feet).
António (Tony) Laureano, 18, from Ericeira, may have broken the record for the biggest wave surfed, awaiting approval by Guinness World Records.
He is still waiting for an official measurement of the wave, with the ambition to compete for the Guinness World Record and write another Portuguese page in the book of records.
The wave he caught is expected to be over 24.38 meters, the record of Brazilian Rodrigo Koxa, the current record holder, also with a wave in the Nazaré canyon, surfed on November 8, 2017 (which broke a record of 23 , 77 meters from the American Garrett McNamara, on November 1, 2011
