Choreographed Fight Competition
Alright, I'll say it.
Given my extensive experience in the martial arts and martial arts films. I have slyly deduced that the moves these men are performing, though quite acrobatic, are in fact choreographed. Careful observations of aspects such as foot positioning, the timing of motions, the seemingly psychic awareness of the participants and countless other factors which are made apparent to the focused mind has led me to the make an observation that this "art" is more akin to a gymnastic performance, rather than a display of effective self defense. Again, this will become apparent to the trained enthusiast who truly takes the time to disect the video at hand.
This leads me to one final and inevitable conclusion that I don't think can be denied by anyone with the right qualifications.
That conclusion is:
This wouldn't work in an actual street fight.
Best porn intro ever!
So . . . that entire . . . well-choreographed, epic battle-scene was merely a set-up for a genital reveal!?! Man, I thought King Kong was bad, but Peter Jackson just continues to slip.
Now THESE guys would look good in a martial arts movie!
Unfortunately, a dupe of http://www.videosift.com/video/Extremely-Fast-Choreographed-Wushu-Fight
Same YT video, btw.
Groovy Dancing Girl 3
while I'm compelled to upvote because of the effort that's been put into this and both previous videos, I'd say that, first of all, she absolutely HAD to wear keds in this (two reasons - her bare feet look small and kinda weird + she'd had more friction on that slippery surface), and second - this is just not as good as the first one. it's partly due to the song choice (I certainly preferred Daft Punk), but it just looks totally random and far less choreographed than the first one did. oh, yeah, and the gigantic hat was totally useless, just interfered with upper body movements and she had to check occasionally whether it's not coming off.
also, is it just me, or does she not look abnormally thin? I mean, thinner than she should, compared to the previous ones? I'd not put it past them to also modify the aspect ratio. just another thing that bugs me about this one.
Benny Urquidez vs Katsuyuki Suzuki (Aug 1977)
Great fighter. I loved him in Grosse Point Blank too. That fight scene with with John Cusack was one of the best choreographed ever.
One "Thriller" of a train ride
this has to be britain! Don't know what it's like in other places, but there is an unspoken rule on the London Underground that you NEVER make eye contact. You never Acknowledge anyone else on the train. You NEVER speak to anyone. and should some people stand up mid station and dancing in a very well choreographed way you simple applaud politely for a few seconds and return to the anonymity of commuting!

Feist: 1 2 3 4
The more I watch this the more impressed with it I am.
The dancers, whilst (nicely) imperfect at times, are actually pretty superb. Not all your typical dancer's shape - some big, some tall, some fat, some small.
Very very cleverly choreographed, and expertly shot.
I wonder how many takes they did to get this one take?
Cirque du Soleil
I've only ever been to one Cirque du Soleil show (the Dralion (or some such)), and even though each act in itself was pretty sweet, it's the total package, the choreographed evening that truly makes it an otherworldly experience. A visit to one of their show could easy make a "things to do in life"-list (after curing cancer and ending world hunger, ofc![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/winkopen.gif)
Best First Dance at a Wedding Ever ( She's a Keeper )
nicely choreographed.
AMAZING fight scene from Donnie Yen's "Flash Point"
What's awesome is that Donnie Yen has MMA trainers teach him stuff when they're choreographing the fights, which is why you see things like the triangle, armbar, Ramapage-style slam, sweet Muay Thai kicks and elbows, and even the RNC at the very end.
Daft Punk Female on Female Action
Any chick who would choreograph a nerd dance like that is okay in my book. Butter face or not.
Worst. Street Gang Fight. Evar. (80's STYLE!)
Hey this is NOT funny. Gang's who choreograph their moves are serious! They may not kill but they will have you rocking back and forth in a corner for months unless you seek a psychiatrist immediately. "No mommy, I don't want to see the ABC after school special, it gives me nightmares!"

I agree. I'd love to see a sift featuring a well choreographed dance on techno/electronica, let me know when you find one..:)
In reply to this comment by doogle:
That may be dancing, but he ain't no dancer. No choreography. No message despite that he really likes the music and can't wait for some eyes on him at a club.
The Chris Bliss Diss...by Jason Garfield
I think critics missed the appeal of Bliss's performance (the original). It isn't the technique or level of difficulty that impresses, it's that it's beautifully choreographed to the music. The balls appear to be almost dancing. Garfield's performance, while more difficult from a technical perspective, doesn't fit the music nearly as well.
