It's funny that I stumbled across that video, because I found it shortly after I had come home from the mall, in which I had visited Waldenbooks. And though I haven't looked at D&D stuff in ages, for some reason I decided to check them out today. None of the manuals look even remotely similar to the stuff I had when I had last played it (early '80s), but it still brought back some fond memories. Do you remember the original Deities & Demigods, or was that before your time? Anyway, my mom got a little upset when she found out that some of the goddesses were drawn topless, like Aphrodite and Bast.

Try as I might, I can't find any online images of them. Kind of a tease, isn't it?

I always hated the mind flayers (Illithids). They had psionic powers, and using psionics was almost like a game within a game. And I hated them also because of their relation to the githyanki, who were just lame-o. (Almost everything in the Fiend Folio was lame-o).

So who's got a 20-sided die?

Dude you should of made a scene that would have been gold. I am in a total agreement with you, can't for the life of me understand why people want there little girls to grow up so fast by subjecting them to the adult world so early.

I was forced to sit through a FOUR HOUR dance recital not long ago, since my niece (who was 6 at the time) was participating. She had a total of about 4 minutes of dancing, and the rest was watching other peoples kids dance. The variety of performances was all over the map, ballet, tap, modern (like the video above), clogging, etc.

Let me tell you, people seem to have no problem with dressing their daughters up like tramps to perform suggestive dances in front of crowds.

I just don't get it. It was very uncomfortable. Here I am, a grown man, I know my boundaries, and yet here's a situation where they are apparently consciously tempting you over that line. It was very awkward. Thankfully, my wife (who was just as uncomfortable about the ordeal) has vowed to never let my sister-in-law guilt us into attending another.
