I took the Egyptian one to be based on the Greek queen Cleopatra, and she's very definitely part of the Western European tradition.

Misnomer; should be: Women of rich husbands/fathers through the ages, at least the first two thirds. (I'm just saying this to go against the romanticised notion conveyed in this video that women of the past wore nice dresses and jewellery.
