Glenn Beck Kills a Frog

Can't believe Beck pulled one over on so many people, knowing they'd cut the clip short and that he could come back the next day with some proof of bias in hand. This is why any exaggeration can blow up in your face, even if there's some underlying truth to the exaggeration.

Yeah it is unbelievable isn't it?
A critic of Glenn Beck doesn't need to manufacture clips to make him look bad.
More likely it was posted by Glen Beck's staff to bait us.

Obama is weak

kronosposeidon says...

^Only time will tell about who is closer to the truth on this, I suppose. I still find the practice of dropping trial balloons to be chickenshit, though I know it's something that both sides of the aisle do from time to time. Can't someone just say what they mean and mean they say?

I follow politics, but not as closely as I should, I'll admit. Maybe this is how shit commonly gets done. A lot of head faking might do the job, so to speak, on Capitol Hill. Doesn't mean that I have to like it. Don't play fucking mind games with the whole country, for fuck's sake. That shit can easily blow up in your face, because it can cause a lot of the faithful to, well, lose the faith. And if Obama keeps up with this shit, then sooner or later I have a feeling it will.

O yeah she got in his face, and after shoving a baton up his ass he had to taser her to save her kids from watching a rape scene. You missed all that?

She got in his face? That's odd, I missed that part of the video where she gets in his face and provokes him. Oh that's right, I missed it because it's not actually in the video.

Glenn Beck: Obama is Racist, Hates White People

Winstonfield_Pennypacker says...

Crudely put, exaggerated, and using loaded language - but I think the fundamental analysis is sound. Obama is a racist. A black racist, and he holds many racist views and opinions about white people. It's sad to say, you can't examine his words and his record without arriving at this conclusion. The man is uncomfortable around white people and holds many prejudices against them. That's racism.

Look at how he treated the whole Beergate issue. He blatantly admitted that he "didn't know the facts", but went ahead and made the assumption that the white police officer "acted stupidly". Well, thanks to a smart police officer we know that's total bullcrap. Gates was belligerent, offensive, insulting, and WAY out of line and it was all on tape. The officer did everything by the book, and was more than forbearing with the obviously racist Mr. Gates who routinely refused to cooperate with simple, common sense requests just because he was dealing with a white cop (who happened to be an expert on racial profiling).

So Obama weighs in without any facts and ASSUMED that this was all the officers fault for no reason except that in his racist brain "White cop + black citizen = white person bad". Well it all blew up in his face because when you make a STUPID RACIST ASSUMPTION based on your negative prejudices then it doesn't hold up. The facts proved that not only was Crowley right, but that Gates was a class-A jackass racist.

So what does Obama do? Does he apologize to the cops that he maligned and insulted. Nope. He has the cheek and gall to go out and say how he 'regrets that people mis-interpreted his comments". He doesn't even have the guts to admit when he's wrong because in his racist mind he thinks he's RIGHT. He's such a racist that he can't even bring himself to admit that Gates was totally 100% wrong in how he handled himself, and that Crowley was 100% right. Instead he clings to his prejudices and his biases and pretends that the cop still could have handled things better. That's RACISM.

So's crap like saying his own grandma is a 'typical white person'. So's going to Reverend Wright's little race palace for 20 years and not walking out when he rails against all the whiteys. So's writing a freaking BOOK called "A story of RACE and inheritance" in which he talks about the 'act' he puts on around white people.

Face facts folks. Glenn Beck isn't exactly very eloquent about it, and he tries to make it sound worse than it probably is, but when you get right down to it his basic accusation is correct. Obama is a racist who holds a TON of prejudices against white people. It's as plain as a Bulgarian pin-up. It doesn't mean Obama 'hates' white people. It just means that when he bumps into a white person that the little wheels in his brain paint a picture of that white guy which is colored with the palate of his biases. The result is that he 'treats' that person as if they're the "white man" caracature he's created in is brain. It doesn't mean he's going to joing the Blu Blax Blan or torch whitey homes. But when he's faced with a situation like the Gates/Crowley fiasco you better believe it makes him side with the jackasses like Gates 100% of the time for no reason except the other guy is white.

And that's sad. Pathetic and sad. I like to hope that intelligent people have more sense than that. But I have to shake my head and reluctantly conclude based on the preponderance of evidence (Obama's actions & words) that our President is a small, petty, prejudiced man.

Cop Slams Innocent Man Head First Into a Wall

If you're thinking of becoming a cop, take a moment to ask yourself, "Am I complete asshat?".

Apparently I'm a complete asshat. By the way, if a officer yells at you to get your ass on the ground. Do it, you won't end up with your face being bounced off a wall. Pretty simple stuff isn't it?
Don't raise your hands, don't smile and look pretty. Just drop to the ground, saving yourself the problem. If you're innocent great. If you're not, you're saving yourself, and the cops the trouble of having to chase you down. Probable cause is just that, while I'm sure there's some idiots here who don't understand the term, or how it relates to an incident like this. I really do feel bad for you, because once it's gone. Might as well go back to mob rule.
Then again if the need hadn't been so high, and the qualifications so low in a lot of states several years ago, you might have a higher quality and standard of officers.
Man that whole active listening, and following instructions thing is pretty hard some days.

You're missing one pretty major detail. We're animals. Sometimes we react with our instincts (ever heard of fight or flight). This kid probably didn't sit there and think "should I run or should I not". He probably was in a rough area and saw 2 people running after him and reacted. Even if he did recognize them as cops, if he was scared he might run without discrimination. It's hardwired into our heads. You can't punish somebody for instinct. Now he's in a coma. Furthermore, You can't put the law above somebody's safety and well-being, Judge Dredd.

Obama Refuses to Release Torture Photographs

volumptuous says...

I'm on the fence about this one. I see the value in not releasing them, especially since we're about to send tens of thousands of military, as well as relief workers and civilians into Afghanistan. For these images to damage whatever good will we could create with that country, could potentially blow up in our faces.

On the other side, is the investigation and/or prosecution of those who ordered and carried out these war crimes, and perhaps shining a spotlight on them could put that scenario into high gear.

But, we've also got the battle between Cheney, CIA, and the Dem leadership that is brewing right now, and if I know Pelosi, she's going ape shit right now and will probably be the driving force behind a real (read: non dog&pony show) criminal investigation.

If we can get to an investigation without releasing these specific photos to the public, I think that's a good thing. Even during an investigation or trial, they can still be kept from the media, but shown to those who need to see them.

I highly doubt anyone who is currently pro-torture, will see these photos and reverse their opinions.

But going so far as to equate Obama with Bush is nonsense. Bush hid them because he's guilty. Obama wants to keep them from being published so it doesn't blow up in the faces of the military and civilian forces about to enter Afghanistan.

Your "Show of Force" thing is true, but not in all cases, and I submit that many times it only undermines your authority. As I've said before, we have too many Rambos and not enough Andy Griffith's. We have too many guys with power fetishes who can't wait for an excuse to slap somebody around.

I was lying on a park bench one time and a cop rode his motorbike right up to my face. He didn't have to do that. He could have just said "Sir, that's not allowed here."

You know that the cops are needed, then you should also know WHY they 'have to be fucking assholes all of the time to get the job done.' You've got a cop for a brother. Ask him why, for god sakes, he's your brother.

It is necessary because you must show intimidation when approaching a stranger to establish a state of dominance. It is unspoken body language that's practiced out in the field. You as an individual may think it's unnecessary, tell that to all the people wearing uniforms, on duty and active, and they may slightly disagree with you there.

It would be so nice to just figure out who is potentially dangerous and who isn't without having to go through all that. But GUESS WHAT! YOU CAN'T!!! SURPRISE!!!!! So cops establish dominance early. Can you really blame them? They're trying to protect themselves as well, otherwise these people see fear, hesitation, weakness. You can't afford to give them a benefit of a doubt.

A person could be well dress with perfumes, a caucasian female with blonde hair, and chances are she could be a cop killer. Equality for all, no bias, no racism people say. There you go, equal asshole treatment for all. Cops are being just as cautious with you as they would with any other random drunkard out in the street. So what are you complaining about?

You may think it's unnecessary but there's a reason why they do it. Everything has a reason. You see this especially in rough neighborhoods. You wouldn't see a cop do this in, let's say in Beverly Hills, CA. But let's say, in Oakland you'd definitely see the cop approach you with a swagger and an attitude.

I don't think I need to explain the reasons why. It's pretty damn obvious. Just get it, please. So live in a richer area, don't hang out in fishy places. That's all I gotta say. As stated above: That's the jest of everything. Learn it, understand it, keep on truckin'. Isn't that right rottenseed?

Right now where I work we have Thierry, a retired Cop and Dennis, a private detective as part our staff. Thierry receives his pension from the state and is set for life, but he still comes to work all the way from Upstate NY Just because he wants to stay sharp, dealing with the muscleheads, blacks and a swarm of riley young Russians at night time.

The private detective is just doing this for fun when the work flow is slow. Because he likes to observe people and guess the type of personality derived from first impression and body language.

And these guys tell me tell me this:

All you gotta do is cooperate with the cop. Don't act like a tough man and give them an attitude. What are you, Many of you feel uneasy and feel you're 'submitting' to the cop. What's so big about that? It's your damn man-ego that's causing all the friction. You see all those gangsters and criminals in TV shows giving cops an attitude? Like wild dogs they are, growling, snarling, pissing on the floor to mark their territory. You're no better than these simpletons.

Just be calm and cooperate with the authority that has approached you. They're not here to purposely annoy you and take away your time. The more people they interrogate means more office work for them as well. They want as little to no trouble as you would want. So if you haven't done anything wrong, just calm the fuck down, cooperate with the authority, and you should be fine.

Cops are needed. I know that. But you don't have to be fucking assholes all of the time to get the job done. That's where you fail.

There are good cops. I know that.

But there are fucking pricks in there who keep having excuses made for them, and that's not doing any of us any good.

I've been stopped and interrogated for doing nothing more menacing than taking a shortcut down an alley on my way home from the pub.

One time in Denver, two cops stopped me and wanted to take me "down town" for a few hours, or a few days, because I was walking home near a place that was robbed. No other reason. No other evidence.

You know, you guys have just acted like assholes so many times that I'm as leery of you as I am of the hoods. And as often as not, you're worthless as hell. You get to the scene an hour after the fact. You file a report that will never be followed up on. You have this "Well what do you expect me to do about it?" attitude.

And I'm pretty mad at you for jumping to the defense of that cop in the video that you referenced.

A lot of you are pretty lazy and not very bright, and bullies at heart.

[edit]
Just an FYI, my brother wears a badge. I think he's probably really good at what he does, but I don't even know him any more. He's said and done things, grossly insensitive things, that really make it hard for me to be around him.

Your business card is Crap!
