trump supporters get violent with silent protesters

newtboy says...

Goons. Hired goons.
...but...
being police, they have a duty to enforce the law and protect citizens even when off the clock, so letting Big Hoss put the guy in a headlock, then just walk off is a dereliction of duty. If we had their names, they might lose their jobs over it, because many people would make formal complaints and end their careers...as I think they should if the cops don't do their jobs.

I don't get the rent-a-cop thing... in other similar videos where one or more folks are protesting silently or sitting in the audience with signs (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s2dm2AuUr0) uniformed police are asked by Trump to remove the trouble makers, or the disturbance is large enough that the police intervene and again, remove the troublemakers. Are these guys on the clock or are they off duty paid goons? The fat boy in the cowboy hat should have been arrested for his actions, no?

The brown shirt reference is well chosen. Don't know about others, but this is some scary shit, and the asshats that are following Chump have zero appreciation for both the freedom to vote and the responsibility to the country in doing so.

That is just plate swapping. I saw a guy walk up to a giant bowl of chicken wings, one small plate in each hand, and then sandwich about 150 of them with the plates, and then walk off.

the enslavement of humanity

I've been pondering this a lot recently. Basically, I am the sole supervisor of a complex money making system - I've watched the Vice President manipulate the money in strange ways to make himself look efficient - another bullet-point on his LinkedIn page. All the while I'm not making anywhere close to what I should and they refuse to give me a raise - even though I single handedly bring in about $100k every week.

So - I just started coming to work super late EVERY DAY. And when I get called out for it, or threatened I just smile and say "definitely" in a real snarky way to anything they say because I know I have their fucking ballsacks in a cage and they can't do fucking shit about it.

So in the meantime, I bought 17 acres in the Santa Cruz mountains, it's completely off the grid, solar, grey water (still get good hotspot reception for sifting). Any day now, I'm just going to walk off the job and royally fuck the slave owner capitalist scum fucks and start living like a true patriot. Can't wait.

If it was laying there and you quickly grabbed and used it straight away to get a few shots off in the heat of the moment most people would probably be cool with it, but it'd be very situational (and you really need to be at least acquainted with the person and what kind of attitude they'd have).

It very rare that it'd come up anyway though as once they are dead, they are generally going to be walking off to the re spawn and will want their gun back to do so (and most likely still have it in sling/holster/hand).

Main exception is when something like medic rules are in play and people have to sit down and wait to be revived. If you can camp a downed enemy & ask nicely you might well get away with it. But it'd be very poor etiquette not to at least ask them. Most these guns are £2-300+ (some pushing 1k) and quite precious to people so you wouldn't appreciate some randomer you know nothing about grabbing it and going rambo.

At a small close knit site it does happen, less so at a bigger less personal one. I'd be a bit fucked off if someone I didn't know grabbed one of mine and started using it, but depends on the situation and their attitude to it.

As for a battery, only if they expressly offered, very unlikely unless you know them and they are carrying a spare compattible with yours. Realistically you just treat it as a catastrophic weapon jam and get on with it. (there will be spare batts back at base). A lot of people are using Gas powered rifles now also which adds to the logistical problems with that.

But as you saw, at that range his pistol did a perfectly serviceable job anyway! (I often switch to pistol in buildings anyway, much more weildy)

So, it's not ok to take someone else's gun?
Or to take the battery from his dead buddy's gun (assuming compatibility) and click it into his?

Martha Stewart sure knows how to roast!

ChaosEngine says...

That's the problem though... it's not shocking, it's expected.

When you can do anything, nothing you do is shocking.

If one of them just walked out, said "this isn't worth my time" and walked off... that would be hilarious.

Bonus points if they punch Bieber on the way out

There's plenty of crass humor outside of the states. Personally, I'm inspired to higher levels of crassness by British comics.

Doesn't comedy always seek to undermine convention? CNN shows that it's not really an accepted American convention, except perhaps to the entertainments sluts such as myself, but I enjoy a wide array of convention. And I'm the only person in my social circle that truly enjoys this humor, more Americans that I know do not.

But regardless of whether we agree, a roast is intended to be shocking. Comedy is not a self censoring media because it must remain within the realm of knowing thyself. Knowing thyself, one understands the grotesque nature of the human mind in relation to the soft edges we falsify for our neighbor.

I'll be honest I didn't make it very far, and i might agree with a lot of what the little guy has to say. The problem is i don't believe for a second it's him saying it. Overly scripted, rehearsed and exploitative.

I agree- the organisers likely didn't brief her enough of the scope. The conference is a willy-nilly kumbaya for artists doing their own thing. Or agriculture.

But I dispute your points. Because I know about her and been following her for a while;
* no she doesn't get chances because she's a young lady. She's not that young and is actually very used to giving presentations;
* she's totally a public personality (yo, she presents how you should monetize on being your own brand!).

She did put in a good effort, I'll give her that. Good sport despite the slide fail. Which is still better than I can say for Michael Bay who probably had way better direction, support, and speech writers.

You don't have to be a stand-up comic. Drive one point. Be honest, genuine, and personable. And if you can't - you're not worth other people's time - politely decline the gig.

Yogi said:

I don't think that's necessarily fair. I mean look at the presenter, she's a young lady who is used to editing and producing videos on YouTube. She can record the voice over several times. Make cuts and rewrites and basically hone stuff. She's not a public personality, maybe her only experience performing in front of people is making a prewritten talk about Mathematics, or playing music at a fair with bunches of other people. She needs training sure, but what kind of booking is this? I blame the people who put her on, you don't just say "Go up and do your thing!" to someone who makes YouTube videos, she's not a stand up comic.
