This just felt fake due to the fact that the brother and the dude looking at this at the computer get outside and stop the car from taking off in about 12 seconds--maybe a touch less than that. First, typically you go to the program and look at what is happening, this would take you atleast 5 seconds unless you have it ON SCREEN, READY TO GO!

Next, you have to tell your brother and start to go outside to the car--I'm going to guess this might take anywhere from 5-10 seconds depending on where your brother is at. THEN you have to get to the car outside, the quickest part almost, about 5 more seconds.

I mean, is their house robbed every other weekend or something? Why the hell are they on adrenaline when it comes to "getting someone" for house property or maybe a robbery related issues. Nobody I've ever known has been that paranoid and I've known paranoid people. The viral-video/commercial line seems like what this is to me (maybe even a straight up one to some degree, because of the username... connection).

You can profile reply a comment to a different member than the submitter of the comment. Click the "profile reply" link then edit the address in your browser's address bar to replace the commenter's username with that of the member to whom you're forwarding.

I'm not ashamed to admit that my circumcision was performed incorrectly (or at least my parents didn't monitor the healing process correctly) and I had a rather odd looking gentleman until just recently. 1) Usernames of ignored members will now no longer be displayed when you hover over your comment up/down arrows.

2) I don't think we'll remove usernames from display as video submitter. We'll do our best to allow you to ignore them from interacting with you, but not from erasing their existence altogether (mainly for technical reasons).

Note that the plan you described is explicitly against the VideoSift guidelines and could get you banned. You cannot down-vote any video just because you don't like the submitter. All video down-votes must be cast based solely on the content of the video.

3) Good point. Thanks for pointing that out. You will now no longer receive emails when someone you're ignoring quotes you, replies to you, mentions you with @, or posts a comment on your profile or on a post or playlist you have bookmarked.

More sad drama over naught.

There really didn't seem to be much evidence these accounts were a bunch of sock-puppets, particularly because their IP addresses are all geographically disparate. It seemed to me they were a group of YouTube friends who joined the Sift and started uploading and voting on the videos of one another (carefully tip-toeing around our no-self-linking policy).

The presence of "puppet" on someone's profile should not be cause enough for immediate banination, nor should a cat-lover posting a comment on another apparent cat-lover's profile (who has a cat avatar and "Kitty" in their username), nor should having a cat of the same breed as a banned member's. Looking at their comment histories, there didn't seem to be any harassing comments directed at anyone.

I understand the sensitivity to potential attack, but please let's all find some meaningful evidence before wrongfully convicting enthusiastic new members. For example, @votedem (who commented above) is a blankfist sock-puppet and has been banned.

The poster on YT is username : NiggersAreHotheads (how in hell is that thing not banned yet) so I have to think this is an incredibly lame attempt at humor... but the rest of the posters videos are unrelated to this girl sooooo who knows. Personally I'd like to believe that anyone who was genuinely this stupid wouldn't have the wherewithal in the brains department to actually record this and post it.
