Police Dashcam Karaoke

newtboy says...

Total fake P.R. campaign for the police dept, made by the police on the clock with public funds (not being snarky, they admitted it today). Also as mentioned, TERRIBLE driving skills displayed; hands off the wheel, not looking at all, etc.
I'm getting tired of these faked 'see, there are good, fun cops' videos that keep turning out to be completely staged by P.R. departments. Sorry, no upvote here.

stop and frisk prank-proven to be a hoax on racial profiling

newtboy says...

I think he clearly showed his hand when he screamed "Why are you dressed like this?!" angrily.
One more cop that needs "retraining". It makes me wonder if there was ever training in the first place, seeing how many officers are desperately in need of "retraining", if there was, it needs a new instructor, or a harder test to pass, as the 'trained' don't display their training far too often.

EDIT: D'oh! Total fake out. Not for real. Put this on 'TRUTV', the cable channel for fake reality.

Czech police chase a bicyclist doing 60 mph on a highway

newtboy says...

As someone who has drafted up to nearly 60mph, you are correct. I had racing gearing on my bike and I was pumping frantically, not leisurely like he was. Consider how fast he pedals at what they claim is 40kph....now triple that speed and think 'did I see him pedal that fast?'...the answer is no, you didn't.
Totally fake, probably not cops and certainly not the speed they claimed.

To be pedaling that slowly at 110km/h, his front sprocket must be 2 feet across...

Reporter Interview Fail

lucky760 says...

But, yeah, the fall is totally fake.

Her butt was firmly perched on the inside of the rail. When she grabbed the rope neither her feet nor butt moved, then all of a sudden she pops her butt out toward the water.

And weirder than the boom mic thing, the interviewee takes off his Olympic medal or whatever that necklace is and starts trying to hand it down to her in the water as if that would save her. Wtf?

Jimmy Fallon - "Slow Jam The News" with Mitt Romney

lantern53 says...

I don't know how anyone can look at Mitt and not see a genuine and good person. Probably because they look at Obama and can't see a totally fake person.

Man Flies Like a Bird Flapping His Own Wings

budzos says...

Aside from the totally fake appearance of the takeoff and ascent the thing that really gives it away is the acting of the spectators and their framing within the shot. As mentioned above it's too perfectly imperfect. It looks like a found footage movie where the person filming seems to always be at the back of the action.

Oh Sh*t!

The Grim Reaper gets his present from Santa Claus

People, people, people, this is freaking Santa we're talking about here. If Santa wants a solid gold anvil the size of a volkswagon in a dimensional box the size of toaster then that's what Santa get's.
And are you gonna tell Santa he can't get what he wants? I didn't think so.

Why does it fall where the Reaper is? That's clearly not where its momentum would take it!

Ditto. I'm calling BS. There's no way you can fire a ball that far away from you and have an anvil land where the ball originated. Totally fake.

Pretty horrible really... I mean, it's horrible on a just purely 'Holy crap that's terribly made with little or no regard to quality'... but also horrible that people would think that that kind of violence towards kids is entertaining. Especially bits like the kid having the gun in his mouth and blowing the back of his brains out, that's pretty low.

While I can see your point spoco. I don't think you should underestimate the possibility that these kids had a really, really good time participating in this. And they also probably learned a lot. Kids love doing this sort of thing (some of them anyway) and they probably learned a lot from participating in filming too. No matter how you raise your children, chances are that at some point, they're going to do something like create an imaginative death scene that might be disturbing if taken the wrong way, but is actually really fun.
And it's also what helps them to separate fantasy from reality. Some of the kids in this scene, for the rest of their childhoods, might see something scary with one of their friends and be able to say something like, "see there! the camera cut out there for a second so they could replace the pitchfork with a prop! The whole thing is totally fake!"
I totally understand why you wouldn't want other children to watch this. But the reason that kids do things like this is precisely because they aren't, in reality, "brainwashed zombie teens."

No, my point isn't so much that it's horrible for the kids involved, I know kids like to do stuff like that, I sure did when I was a kid... it's more, what bloody adult thinks this is a good idea to make, with view to other adults thinking it's entertaining to watch?
