Ban Bossy — Change the Story
I think you just miss the point. It's less about the word but more about the way our still male dominated society reacts to women speaking up, taking charge, setting limits or simply standing their ground.
There's still this idea going around that women need to be pleasant, softspoken and less assertive than men. Once they're not they become the dragon, the bitch, the crazy one or the bossy chick.
Just look at the Joe Scarborough where he starts talking dumb shit about missing planes and the female co-host tries to veer the program into the direction it's supposed to go and avoid making a fool out of themnselves. What's his reaction? He ridicules her. What's the first comment under that video? "Man, she's bossy!"
That shit simply doesn't happen to men. And this needs to erradicated at the roots, our children. That's why they fit this into a simpler message. One that parents can easily convey to their children.
Dumbest, oversensitive, stupid thing I've seen all day and I'm pretty damned liberal. It is important to give ALL kids positive encouragement, but banning the word "bossy" is just idiocy. No.
News Anchor Calls Out Her Co-Host's Bullshit
Wow. Joe Scarborough is such a condescending cunt, on top of being a pig headed, ignorant dick
This propaganda is playing all over youtube
According to Joe Scarborough, "They hate us because they hate us" and we all know Joe Scarborough wouldn't say something so completely stupid if it weren't true now, would we?
Maybe there's a fucking reason that Iran hates us? Maybe that could've been intimated in this selective fact highlighting video? I don't know, Maybe.
Iran has been tortured by the US for 60 years now, people who live under the boot don't tend to forget that so easily.
EDIT: I can't find who is behind this ad, I think it behooves us to find out who has posted this cheery picked piece of crap. I would think that the Israel Lobby would, but they might not be smart enough.

Election predictions? (Election Talk Post)
Inside election trivia, David Axelrod has won his moustache bet with Joe Scarborough. Obama has now carried all of Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Minnesota.
Playing with an EV calculator, even if I give Romney all of Florida, Ohio, North Carolina AND Virginia, he still needs another state to get to 270. If Obama wins ANY of those states, he's getting a second term.
Oh, and I get the feeling the networks are just playing it safe on Ohio, all the outstanding votes are in blue counties, and Obama's in the lead.
God Wants Us to be BiPartisan - Christie on Obama
HA>> ^bareboards2:
I was being snarky. No snark button for titles!
>> ^KnivesOut:
Kudos to Chris Christie, but where does god come into the conversation? Neither he or the Scarborough guys mentioned it.

Active Sexism on MSNBC - Mika is FURIOUS.
>> ^Phreezdryd:
Joe doesn't seem to be listening to Mika at the beginning, and derails her comments by saying he thinks the focus on binders is lame. Over 17 minutes in and that other guy restates what Mika said, and finally Joe gets it. I'd be a little frustrated too.
I don't know how distracting being on a set with cameras and people talking in your earpiece is, but I'm going to assume that's part of what makes for conversations where people don't seem to be listening to each other.
Maybe...or it could just be that the positions tend to go to attractive people with good voices, and brains just aren't considered important. Given the state of television these days, my money is on the latter.
Joe Scarborough reacts to Romney clip

y-Ryan-Rally
If you want proof of liberal bias in the media, there it is.
So the people at a Romney rally are so stupid they don't even know how to chant correctly, something any number of completely drunk footie fans are able to do every match.
MSNBC Caught Doctoring Clip From Romney/Ryan Rally
It is your opinion that they are saying Romney. I've listened to it several times, very loudly, asked nearby people to listen with me, and all agree that they are chanting Ryan.
As I noted above, it was reported by people who were actually there, and by the New York Times, that the crowd was shouting Romney. Listen to the unedited c-span clip and not the doctored MSNBC clip.
Regardless, what is news-worthy is that Romney is a spectacular failure as a candidate, and that Joe Scarborough, a Republican, is ashamed of him. Criticizing a candidate isn't exactly the same thing as blatantly trying to get the other one elected though, is it?
Joe Scarborough isn't a Romney supporter and never was. He famously declared Governor Romneys campaign to be dead last april. I don't know what kind of republican he is but apparently its the kind that promotes the democrats and slams his own party:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/07/joe-scarborough-obama-speech-dnc_n_1864019.html
The point is that Joe takes his marching orders from the MSNBC HQ. This was clearly an attempt to play into the democratic narrative that republicans are becoming less enthusiastic about the campaign in the hope they will believe their candidate can't win and not turn out to vote. This position is in lockstep with the rest of the network coverage. It's blatant shilling for Obama. Does this surprise me or anyone? No. The entirety of the mainstream media is bitterly partisan and unashamedly so. I just thought the sift would be interested that they were lied to.

Any comment?>> ^shinyblurry:
I understand you want to change the subject to fox news, but here we have MSNBC blatantly trying to get Obama re-elected. Any comment?
>> ^KnivesOut:
Does "doctored" not mean specifically editing footage to change the meaning of a statement by taking it out of context, because Fox does that constantly. I guess your definition of doctored is different from mine.>> ^shinyblurry:
What I meant is doctored. Every news agency edits their footage. So do you believe that what MSNBC did here is fine?
>> ^Lendl:
I'm pretty sure Fox edits every single video they show to manipulate it in favor of their views.
