Unbelievable Hammer Tricks

poolcleaner says...

We used to do this stuff in high school. And it didn't always end up well...

For example, if you're across the classroom and you're holding a large container of salsa, you would give a quick heads up to someone in on the weird little social bonding experiment, and then throw it at the person. Sometimes they caught it, sometimes not and salsa every where.

However, if everyone was exceptionally well in their reflexes (throwers included), we would take the object (whatever it may be) to the strong man's competition, where we went into the school theater after hours and threw the object straight up into the air, in an attempt tap the vaulted ceiling. Then you take rounds having someone else catch the returning object.

The game ends when the object hits the ground, exploding its contents upon the ground.

So I have to give it to these guys for having an impressive talent rather than destruction in mind.

Mexican Cuisine in California

shagen454 says...

There are many misconceptions of Mexican Cuisine. I am probably one of many that apart of this misconception. I have noticed many Indian and Thai restaurants have Mexicans cooking those respective cuisines, not because they are cheap labor but because they are diverse in their respective trades.

"Mexican" food is popular all over but the Taquerias in San Francisco are well known around the US and locally. But, the food served in the Taquerias are actually a San Franciscan cuisine. The San Francisco burrito is just that. It was made here, it is an American food influenced by Mexican cuisine but geared towards us gringos. This is not necessarily true for everything on the menu of course.

Regardless, it is very good. Surprisingly, one of my favorite "Mexican" food spots is in a very industrial area of Oakland in the form of a food truck. You would never know it by the taste of the food. IT IS AMAZINNNNNNN!!! Amazingly tasty fresh salsa. a secret spicy salsa, great beans, great tortilla, tomato friend rice, carne asada to scream for. The best tacos I have ever had in Cali and a burrito that rivals SF's best and they do it everyday, so it is not a fluke and it takes place on a truck.

Well man, you really can't go wrong with Huevos Rancheros-That sauce was a hit, but it was a concoction following your framework, a reduction in that little skillet you see next to the one I'm working with-Had to add the tomato and g.onion saute, always that or salsa with rancheros.....

OK, so the guy is a little annoying. But, he loved El Farolito, I am so excited to see them. If you ever go there are actually two El Farolitos on twenty forth street... the one down twenty fourth is where all the babes go, go there. I am so happy that I no longer pass that place drunk, it got me in trouble. I mean that is why I think I like the one down the street better... because I wont have to squeeze my ass down that little corridor. I swear, El Farolito made me FAT. The nachos are insane, I never knew nachos could be so good... really good chips, with super thick white cheese, really good good salsa, jalapenos, sourcream, beans, guacamole... for five bucks you could feed your whole family that shit. Who cares about any one elses cultural food? Carne Asada Quesdilla with jalapenos... Fuck Poncha Villa. Get the rice out of those burritos. Eris Satie.... FTW.

If you look at their footwork, it seems like they are doing the cha-cha (one-two, cha-cha-cha, three-four, cha-cha-cha; repeat.) except in the cha-cha the guy usually leads with the left foot... this dude is stepping back with the left and leading with the right foot. They've also clearly incorporated a lot of salsa dance moves into the routine to make it "sexier." And judging from the stiffness of the moves they are high-beginners/low-intermediates. I'm guessing this was a performance on some public access cable channel that wanted to showcase local kids and their talents?
While I applaud the kids for having the guts to get on TV and dance, they are completely off the tempo (they're going way to fast) and the choice of music is terrible.

Nice breakdown, but it's pretty obvious that the music in the video is not what they were originally dancing to.

What? Why? When youre running low on dip, you should be using smaller chips.>> ^CheshireSmile:
when eating chips (crisps) with salsa or dip, open the bag at the bottom. all the smaller ones settled there so when you're running low on dip, you still have the big chips to work with.

that way lies hands getting stuck in jars and covered in salsa.

Also, the machines load the chips from the bottom. So the seal is not as good there, and it's MUCH easier to open the bag.
